Hi! My name is Miya Yamada (pronounced like, Mee-ah). Kids at my school call me, “Dr. Miya”.

My doctorate is in Human Development and Psychology and I have been working with children throughout my career. I know how children grow and where the bumps can come along the way and I love to problem solve with families to overcome them. I work with parents who have children from ages 2 to 10 who are doing everything right, but are hitting a rough patch in their journey. My work in the Independent Schools have given me expertise in navigating and dissecting school reports and their suggestions.

Let me be your sound board, advisor and helper in navigating parenthood.

No scripts.

No formulas.

Just guidance

built around your family.

Practical help for parents who are already paying attention

.

How This Works:

  • Choose a package and book:

Tell me what’s happening in a few sentences

  • We talk for 60 minute sessions virtually:

A conversation about your child, your household and what you’ve tried already.

  • You come away with a plan.

Sound Familiar?

  • Bedtime has turned into a two hour negotiation, and you’ve already read three books about it

  • Your child holds it together at school, but falls apart‍ ‍the second they arrive home.

  • All the advice you’re getting doesn’t quite fit your family situation

  • You’ve had a meeting with the school, and would like to debrief what you heard.
